About Jamestown Settlement
Jamestown Settlement is a living-history museum operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia. It tells the story of the 1607 English colony. The site focuses on the convergence of the Powhatan Indian, English, and West Central African cultures.
Inside, you will find 500 centuries-old artifacts and a 4D theater experience. Outside, historical interpreters demonstrate daily life in a Outdoor Living History. You can walk through reed-covered houses and a timber-framed English fort.
A major highlight is the waterfront. Visitors can board replicas of Re-created 1607 Ships that sailed from England. Family Visit Guide outlines the best interactive areas for families.
